in-House Year in Review: 2023

The years that residents and fellows spend in training represent experiences that are vast and wholly unique — the seemingly insurmountable learning curves that level with time, the exhilaration of serving patients and their families well, the frustrations of exhaustion and loss — we at in-House are so grateful for the opportunity to share all these experiences with our readers.

This past year, our authors have shared poignant and thoughtful reflections on the power of connection in the briefest moments in a patient’s room and more broadly, through systems and education. Our writers examined their professional and  clinical experiences as catalysts for change, as opportunities for levity and creativity, and as guides for those who hope to walk similar paths.

As we reflect on 2023 through the lens of in-House, we remain grateful for the opportunity to curate content that promotes the ideals and dreams of the medical profession. This year has produced stories that evoke passion, dedication, hope, loss, and equity. These stories have captured the ebbs and flows of our ever-changing medical landscape. We, at in-House, hope to continue the promotion of your ideals and dreams throughout 2024 and look forward to the content that this next year will bring.
