Managing Editor Emeritus (2019-2022)
Indiana University School of Medicine
Aida is a fourth-year medical student at Indiana University School of Medicine. Before medical school, Aida earned her B.S. in environmental science from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. In June 2018, she walked from Louisville, KY to St. Louis, MO to witness to the forced migration of climate change refugees and to advocate for the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s divestment from fossil fuels. Since then, she has led a fossil fuel divestment delegation to San Juan, Puerto Rico--a frontline community suffering ‘first and worst’ from climate change. This delegation amplified Puerto Rican voices across the United States. Aida wants to work at the intersection of medicine, anti-racism, & environmental justice. Right now, this looks like a career in emergency medicine and anti-racist disaster relief implementation & policy.
